Jar Jar Binks Too Much

Episode 15 - February 2, 2012

This week we’ve got a couple horror movies, two historical pieces (sort of), and a movie about teens with telekinetic powers. Do good movies need to have happy endings? We also report back on some of our recent picks, now that we’ve had a chance to see them in the theater.

Our Picks for February 3, 2012
Brad: Chronicle
Jason: Big Miracle

Like an Ent on Cocaine

Episode 14 - January 26, 2012

This week we’ve got movies from an actress who hates movies, an actor who can’t show emotion (don’t hold Avatar against him), and someone who may or may not be a tough guy. We also have a bit of a blow up about a musical from the past, Moulin Rouge.

Our Picks for January 27, 2012
Brad: We Need to Talk About Kevin
Jason: Man on a Ledge

Brad: Haywire
Jason: Red Tails

None of the Good Things From Glee

Episode 12 - January 12, 2012

If you enjoy listening to the show, please use the link below to rate us on iTunes and tell your friends to give us a listen. Thanks!

Money. Movies in 3-D. There are a couple good movies this week we’re looking forward to. Somehow we end up talking about books again. Brad saw Limitless & The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo so we spend some time talking about both of those. Also, Jason hates seeing the messes inevitably left at the end of most horror movies.

Our Picks for January 13, 2012
Brad: The Divide
Jason: Contraband

Time Travel and Elijah Wood

Where’s My Hammer?

Episode 10 - December 29, 2011

There’s not much new this week so we recap our favorite films from 2011. What were your favorites? Let us know which movies you enjoyed and why you liked them and we’ll share your opinions on an upcoming episode.

Our Favorite Movies of 2011
Brad: X-Men: First Class
Jason: Midnight in Paris

Good Funny Thing

Episode 9 - December 20, 2011

Jason can’t read. Brad’s a giant nerd. Poor, poor Tom Cruise & Cameron Crowe. Who’s got an accurate list of new releases? Sometimes you need to just let some movies wash over you. Money! When Brad watches a trailer, he doesn’t like feeling like he’s just seen the entire movie. Piracy is not stealing.

Our Picks for December 21ish, 2011
Brad: Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
Jason: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Sauron and the Baby Jesus

Episode 8 - December 15, 2011

We had Skype issues. Sorry. Finally talk about some Christmas movies. Brad eats three pumpkin pies every year. “I was going more for Valentine’s Day stuff which was going to make me want to jab myself in the eye with a fork.” What is Jason Lee thinking? “I’m really sorry that this whole franchise is now ruining your entire childhood.” Sherlock Holmes!

Our Picks for December 16, 2011
Brad: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Jason: Carnage

Slide Show into Midlife Crisis Hell

Episode 7 - December 8, 2011

Brad and Jason lament the fact that there’s no holiday celebrating time travel. It’s still too early to talk about Christmas movies. “Don’t question me on my Thor lore, dude.” Hollywood would stop making crappy movies if the American public stopped watching them. Leonardo DiCaprio should maybe stick to simpler roles. Jason likes movies with bad endings.

Our Picks for December 9, 2011
Brad: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Jason: The Sitter

Stoking the Fires of Curiosity

Episode 6 - December 1, 2011

Brad and Jason are pretty disappointed in this week’s selection. Brad reports on Twilight. A bad Nicholas Sparks movie doesn’t mean it’s actually good. “I don’t need to watch anybody else’s life go out of control.” Brad threatens Jason with bodily harm. Jason explains what a drive-in movie theater is. They were duped by IMDb.

Our Picks for December 2, 2011
Brad: Coriolanus
Jason: Kinyarwanda

A Steampunk Pinocchio

Episode 5 - November 22, 2011

The family that watches movies together, stays together. Babies can be good excuses for skipping dumb movies. Jason believes in Santa Claus. “How can you not like a movie where his watch is a character?”

Our Picks for November 23, 2011
Brad: The Artist
Jason: Hugo

Strip Photos & The Race to the Bottom

Episode 4 - November 17, 2011

Is going to the movie theater actually a fun experience? Jason pays money for concessions but Brad sneaks his in (unless it’s beer). Vampires & werewolves make for fantastic stories, but not always.

Our Picks for November 18, 2011
Brad: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (picked for him)
Jason: The Descendants

MP3 | iTunes | RSS Feed | Instacast

School Bus Chicken Race

Episode 3 - November 10, 2011

Books vs. movies. “I agree with you that watching The Fountain was like an exercise in seeing how confused and upset I could make myself.” Jason admits to having a crush on Colin Farrell. Brad’s worried about Adam Sandler.

Our contest winner from last week is Chase Clemons! Chase correctly identified “The greater good” from one of my all-time favorites, Hot Fuzz. Chase will receive a $5 Amazon gift card for his correct answer. Stay tuned for more fun!

Our Picks for November 11, 2011
Brad: Immortals
Jason: London Boulevard

Shooting Santa in the Face

Episode 2 - November 3, 2011

**Contest!! Jason repeats a phrase back to Brad in this episode. The first person to identify the movie that phrase comes from (we don’t mention it in the episode) gets a $5 Amazon gift card! Just let us know your guess!**

Every father needs to see Taken. Do you watch any movies more than once? Brad thinks Netflix sucks but Jason disagrees. Randy Murray’s rules are fantastic! Brad MST3Ks the credits.

Our Picks for November 4, 2011
Brad: none!!
Jason: Tower Heist & Killing Bono

Quality Time with Justin Timberlake

Episode 1 – October 27, 2011
